My name is Ashish Ranjan, I’m the Senior Engineering Consultant of DMF Energy Inc. and an electrical engineer by trade. I graduated with a Master of Applied Science (MASc.) degree in Electrical Engineering (research & thesis based in the field of energy, environmental, and electrical economics) from Dalhousie University, Canada in 2014 and attained my Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering from Cochin University of Science & Technology (CUSAT), India attained in 2006.
My strong expertise and experience in consulting, engineering research, application and design engineering, engineering support and service, technical writing, and project management along with a passion, motivation, and focus on energy and environmental issues has helped me develop a level of self-determination and commitment towards my interest on energy systems, climate change, energy security and their analysis.
I’m currently registered at the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA) as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Member-in-Training (MIT) and working towards my Professional Engineering (P.Eng) license.
Over the last 10 years, I had an opportunity to work, learn, and develop my skills with various national and multi-national organizations from information technologies such as HCL Infosystems Limited and Mosaic partner with Microsoft, to Siemens Enterprsie Communications Private Limited and Eastlink in telecommunications. AutoChoice Parts & Paints Limited in automotive sector and Dalhousie University in educational.
I’m the youngest of my siblings (after 4 sisters), was born and raised in Ranchi, Jharkhand, India. My father passed away when I was 15, he’s always been an inspiration and motivation to my work and life. I love travelling and exploring new places, and had a special interest in sports such as cricket and ice hockey. In my leisure time I enjoy volunteering, reading books, and exploring new technologies.
